An Atlanta Tradition

The Pink Pig is an Atlanta tradition that dates back to 1953...way before I was born! This was my first time getting to meet Priscilla the pig..... and here is the story of my first ride!
Addison and I waited in line for 2 hours! So here we are chillin' out for a bit.

Well, the 2 hours finally took their toll on me! I fell asleep so Mommy had to take a seat so I could catch some shut-eye.

We finally got in....and I was still asleep! Mommy was afraid I would miss seeing my first ride on Priscilla!
I did wake up part of the way through the ride (which lasted less than 2 minutes). Here we are after the ride-I'm still waking up.

And after the ride we met the Chick-Fil-A cow...I was still a little groggy so I just stared at him-not quite sure what to make of him!
It was fun! But we already decided that we would go on another day next year not so close to to Christmas and not on a Saturday!
I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
This will be my last post for a while. We leave to see Grandpa Ed and Grandma Mary on Tuesday and then we go from there to see Grandma Judy and Grandpa Wayne on Friday. So we will be doing a lot of traveling but I am so excited. I will have lots of pictures from my first Christmas celebration will all of my relatives!

What Weather!

It is almost Christmas and we have been having 70 degree weather! It will start to get colder this weekend (only down to the 50's) but for now I am enjoying it!
Finally some time to relax! Mommy and I got all of the the shopping and shipping of Christmas presents done! The ladies at the UPS store know me by name at this point! But now I can play all day.....
..... and take walks outisde in the beautiful weather....

.....and play all day (in my short sleeves and bare feet!!)

Daddy and Me time...

Since Daddy has to work during the day, we spend our time together at night after dinner. I think we were just being silly in this picture. He always makes me laugh!
Daddy smiled for this picture and I decided to do my "soooo big!"
p.s.....Mommy apologizes for the pictures...they are a little blurry!

I forgot to mention in my last update that I am now 8 months old for those of you keeping track!!

Updates on Me.....

Hi! So I thought I would give you an update of what has been happening with me. First, I am almost completely weaned. I drink a formula bottle throughout the day except the last meal before bedtime (and I overheard that one will be going away before Christmas!). It was just one day Mommy offered it to me and I liked it, so we kept doing it. I guess I figured it was time. Besides, I like my solid food A LOT!
I am getting the idea that I will be feeding myself someday. This was the first time Mommy let me try to do it. I didn't get a lot into my mouth but I sure had fun playing with it on the tray!

I am tring all sorts of foods now. (Of course, I still stay away from anything with eggs, nuts or soy in them because of my allergies). I love these biscuits! I sat and chewed on this one for a while. I also like Puffs-but I'm not too sure about those Cheerios...
This picture if for 2 reasons. If you look real closely, you can see a tooth on the bottom right and the other one is making its entrance as well. I am also sooooooo close to crawling. This is me on my stomach making my way around. I usually end up going backwards...my arms are stronger than my legs right now but I can feel it...it's coming! Although Mommy keeps saying "no pressure" and I should just do it when I am ready!
And I still can't get enough of this ball pit!

At least Santa was happy...

Well, some might say this was not a good trip to visit Santa.....My Daddy would say it was "great!" I overheard him saying to Mommy that he wanted a crying picture. So I gave him one! I was fine at first, but then I realized that both Mommy and Daddy were looking at me...so who was holding me? That is when they snapped this picture! Anyway, we talked to Santa after the pictures so I think I am back on the good list!

Early Christmas Presents...

So I opened this box that arrived from Toys R Us...and inside was a a bag full of balls...I was not sure what to do with them all!
So I thought about it overnight and the next day, I realized how much fun I could have with them.....and then...
That day....another box arrived and had this giant fire engine with more balls!

Look at me in my fire engine ball pit!

I really, really love it! A big thanks to my Uncle Dan, Aunt Alana and cousins Danny, Lexi and Brendan.

Holiday Prep.....and Football

So after an filling Thanksgiving...we brought out the holiday decorations and started to set them up. I decided to help...for a while. It's all about priorities...
Mom said we had to "fluff" the tree. So here I am helping with that.
Oh, are you taking a picture of me? Make sure you get my good side!

This tree skirt is soft!

Whew, now that I am done with set-up I can watch my Game Day!

Mashed Potatoes

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Mom asked me to help her with the mashed potatoes..."So you want me to do what with these??"
"Oh, so I put them in here???"

"Now I get it!"

My Daddy the Photographer

So, when Mommy and Daddy found out I was going to be coming into the picture (no pun intended), they decided to get a nice new camera. It takes great pictures, more professional looking than our old one. But you be the judge...here are some more formal pics that Daddy took of me... (some of Mommy's favorites)...Keep in mind that none of these have been cropped or edited in any way yet...

Growing Up Fast.....

Hi Everyone!
A lot has been going on with me lately so I thought I would share some pics and stories about what is new. First...I am 7 months old! I turned 7 months back on the 11th but forgot to mention it to all of you guys so I thought I would remind you now. So yeah for me!

I graduated to the next level in Gymboree. Mommy and I missed a couple of weeks of classes because of other stuff going on so I finally got to attend my first Play and Learn Level 2 today. I have a lot of catching up to do. All the other kids are crawling circles around me! Of course, I am the youngest in the class but they really make me want to move. I love level 2!

I want to give a shout out to my newest friends Wyatt and Katie Gary in Charlotte, NC. They were born last week a little prematurely but they are doing great! I am so excited to have some new friends to play with...and 2 new friends at the same time!

My final BIG news is that I AM SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! Yep, I go to bed around 7pm and I wake up between 6 and 6:30am. I have been doing it for a while now so Mommy says it is finally safe to say it. Whew, I feel so much more rested now! Mommy says the next big thing is drinking formula (weaning, she calls it) but that will probably start after Christmas...I am not looking forward to that...yuck!

Some new toys I got on my 7 month birthday. A V-tech car carrier and a Little People airplane
A new walker/cruiser from my cousins in NJ

Just a happy day in the playroom...with a little drool

My new favorite book You're My Little Love Bug from my Hodges cousins in Iowa - it plays music and has my picture in it!

Here's a look back at some of my favorite pics.

Baptism Weekend Part 2

This is the second part of my Baptism weekend...the ceremony at the Church. Father Ketter was so nice...at times I was making some noise so he had to speak louder to be heard over me! Anyway, it was such a nice weekend and I am so thankful that so many of our family and friends were here to celebrate it with us.
I was not sure what was happening at first, then I cried a little when that water was poured over me...I wasn't prepared for it!
A blessing from Father Ketter
