Fun Weekend!

It was Grandparent's Day at Sweet Apple Elementary on Friday!  Grandma Judy made the trip and celebrated with Hank…and we had some other fun for the weekend!
Mimi's new friend Olaf.  Her prize for doing so well in her 1st week of school and her first dance class :)
Of course, the weekend would not be complete without several rounds of Go Fish :)
And…of course, we all wore the ND gear we have for the first game of the season!
Mimi's earphones don't fit if we don't put some padding in there to keep them in place...
 Wii Dance fun!
"get ready for dinner" has a new meaning…a work-out shirt, sweat pants and a tie ??
Mimi said, "Daddy let's make crazy faces"…and so they did.

Thanks for visiting Grandma Judy!

Happy Labor Day Weekend!!

Mimi Firsts...

First day of Pre-K today!  A few tears at good-bye and then she went on to have a "great day" she said!
Yesterday was the first day of her combo dance class.  She chose the whole dance outfit herself (the colors of the outfit - all pieces were required dress for the class).  This is her striking her ballet pose...
And here she is ready to tap away in her tap shoes!  She had a great first class and is ready to teach anyone that wants to learn the steps!

Misc Photos

School has started and so have activities…at least for Hank right now.  Here's what's been going on!
Hank participated in the Tiger Scout Raingutter Regatta!  He and Dad built his boat and decorated it.  Then he raced against other scouts.  He won 2 races and then lost the third.  But he had a great time!
Sassy Frances waiting with Mom to walk over to school to get Hank :)
The biggest "fart balloon" we have ever seen!
Another Tiger Scout activity was the Rocket Launch.  This one was not competitive.  Dad and Hank built the rocket and then went to the school to launch it with the other scouts.  Hank's was awesome…it went way up into the sky!
Getting a little help on the launch
Mimi's craft for the day….decorating glasses and sunglasses…and then she needed to wear them both at the same time :)
A hole in one at mini golf!
Hank has been working on earning money to get some Minecraft Legos.  So he helps out with chores. He is great at helping with dinner.
Also learning to cut the grass…although that will not be a chore for him alone for a long time...
And breaking from all of it - taking a ride on his bike - freedom!

Summer Vacation #3 of 3!

Our last trip of the Summer was to Oklahoma City, OK for our cousin Jack's baptism…via Little Rock, AK
Hank never goes on any trip these days with out his headphones…loves to listen to Huey Lewis :)
The sites were pretty in Little Rock.  We found a great park to play at...
And some great history just down the street from our hotel.
Beautiful view from our hotel in Little Rock
When we finally made it to Aunt Liz and Uncle Ben's house we were glad to have some down time...
Mimi is working pretty hard…what are the guys doing??
We cannot get enough of this little guy :)
Cousins!  Anna, Mimi, Eva, Cindy and Jack!
PiƱatas, and water balloons…that is how we tried to beat the 100 degree weather!
Beautiful memorial of the Oklahoma City bombing site
The pool was another good way to beat the heat!
Everyone in one room at the same time!
Took some time out for the Run or Dye 5k in OKC…Joey, Liz, Thomas, Tony, Dad and Mom
Dad got hit with a lot more dye than Mom!  But he finished before her too :)
 Jack's baptism :)
Jack (4 months) and his triplet lady friends, Harper, Kendall and Cameron (7-1/2 months)
Whew-last vacation and when we got home there was 2 weeks till school…WOW the summer went fast!

Summer Vacation # 2

Trip #2 took us up to NY/NJ via Ohio.  We stopped at Coney Island in Cincinnati and had a great time!
We arrived after a short 7 hours to Coney Island!
Daddy swore he would never go on that ride again - although he still loves to show-off :)
Prizes won only after spending a few dollars….
We then arrived in North Tonawanda NY and were excited to go on so more rides by Great Grandpa Jack's house.
The were more kiddie rides than Hank has been used to lately but he still enjoyed them!
Hank riding the path around the park across from Great-Grandpa's house
Fun swim time in Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ed's pool!
Grandpa is a great boat chauffeur :)
The we moved on down to our NJ cousins house.  The girls decided to put on a show for all of us!
 FOOD!
 Sweet little faces
 All together now…smile!
Hank got to zip line in his cousin's back yard.  It was his first time and he LOVED it!
And we arrived back home with an extra Lego set.  Daddy's set from a long time ago that still works!  And Hank is so excited to have it!
