December Fun!

We saw Frozen in 3D.  Great movie…Mimi loved it and Hank kept asking when it would be over (only during the scary parts:))
And then this happened…Ed has always wanted it and Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ed got it for him…and it is sitting "in the middle of my front room window"…..
Mimi on the way to her dr appt to confirm strep throat.  We have had it with winter illnesses!  We have been thru a bout of the flu (Mom, Hank and Mimi) and a bout of strep throat (Mom, Mimi and Hank).   Somehow Daddy has only had a minor cold….
And then poor Hank had what we thought was a reaction to penicillin but it was only Fifth's Disease-nothing serious and it has gone away as well.  Lots of Lysol in this house!!
Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ed came for a visit!  We got our junk ball and proceeded to take it apart...
And kept going…we got lots of fun "junk" out of the ball!
We had our friends Christmas party.  3 of Hank's friends from school were here with their families and the boys had a great time outside with Mr. Mike…even thought it was only in the 40's (I know that is not cold for some of you reading this but it is for us!)
And this is what happened to the playroom after all the kids left after the Christmas party…Major clean-up needed!
We had a great time with Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ed and look forward to the next visit with them!
Sunny day means baby gets to go for a walk and...
play at the park.

Thanks for coming to visit Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ed!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We always stay in Atlanta for Thanksgiving and this year was the same.  We enjoyed a great  meal and fun family day!
Hank had a project for school to disguise a turkey so he won't get "taken".  He chose to make him look like a StormTrooper.  Mimi chose to participate as well and her turkey was disguised as a princess :)
The neighbors down the street did not disappoint with their holiday decorations again this year!
Mimi and Mommy slaving away in the kitchen...
Hank never even got out of his pjs to celebrate Thanksgiving!

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Mimi is busy...

Hank has been very busy with school lately and since Mimi spends her time at home...she has a lot of ideas...

Here is one of her little displays.  Everything set up nice and neat and perfectly folded...for whenever she might play with it.
She calls this one her craft table.  All the things she may need to create a masterpiece :)
Glow in the dark birthday party for Hank's friend Ryan...very cool!
The movie star sporting Mom's glasses
Decided she needed to spice up her outfit with a few jewels and things...
And yet another display that she was very proud of wanted to make sure we got a picture of it!

Halloween Festivals and Pumpkin Patches!

Hank's class took a trip to Berry Patch Farms for some pumpkin fun.  Here we are on our way to all the pumpkins!
We found the pumpkins and a few scarecrows too!
Hank got a little destructive while we were there...just kidding!
 So many to choose from...
We found a good one to make our yellow Angry Bird pumpkin decoration
And we had fun driving an old tractor!
On to our community festival...Mimi decided to be Cinderella for this one and her friend Natalie was a bumblebee!
Hank went as a Stormtrooper and then it was time to trick-or treat at the festival...more candy...just what we need!
Then, on to Area 51 for some mini golf trick-or-treating!  We got to play and get even MORE candy!  and we met a few friends along the way :)
This was our favorite!  The Brunswick bowling pin and he gave us vouchers for a free bowl...we LOVE to bowl!

Lots of Halloween fun and it is not even Halloween yet!

Halloween Dress Rehearsals

We have had a couple early dress rehearsals for Halloween.  Hank and I both get to try out several of our costumes.  First, I tried Cinderella...
Then, we got to go to a party at the Disney Store in the mall.  Hank was Lightning McQueen and I was Belle :)
Hank was the leader for the costume parade!
I hung at the back of the line with Mommy.  We did a craft and a little trick or treating.  It was a fun event at the Disney Store!
Today, we got to go to the Food Allergy kids of Atlanta Halloween Party.  Hank was Mario and I was Doc McStuffins.  We got to do a couple of crafts here, visit with fireman on a firetruck, participate in a costume contest
and play a games that they had set-up.  This was another great pre-Halloween costume event!  Next weekend is the mini golf trick or treating...we can't wait!

Busy!

School keeps us pretty busy during the week and then we really pack in our weekends to have some fun!  Here is just a little bit of what we have been doing!
This is what happens when Mom gets out the goggly eye decorations...
Every Friday, the neighborhood walkers get together after we walk back to our neighborhood for a snack and a chat.  Hank and Eric seem to really be chatting it up over a popsicle :)
This Friday was a special one.  We celebrated National Walk to School Day a little early so we could have some extra fun.  The Mayor joined us on our walk back to the neighborhood. (Eric and Hank are in the back row...you can barely see their heads)
 Hank loved the Mayor's car!
And this is what happens when you fall on the playground and Mom gets a call from the school :)
Mommy forgot that we brought some great hand-me-downs back from our trip to MN this summer. But Mimi found the tub and dug for some pretty special stuff...thanks Eva!
Mom co-chaired the Fall Picnic at Sweet Apple this year so Dad and I decided to relax and enjoy ourselves at the event!
Nad Mimi sought out the tooth fairy at the picnic and got a picture with her and the tooth fairy's book!
Alright, well, we were supposed to head to FL this weekend to spend time with Aunt Liz and Uncle Ben (since Daddy was in NY for his college alumni weekend) except Hank came home Thursday with a 102.7 fever.  So thru Friday he had the flu...so we could not go to FL.  So he was feeling a little better Saturday and we were a little stir crazy so we went to the Roswell Youth Parade.
 They LOVED the marching bands
Here is the front of the Sweet Apple Float made by the 5th graders
and the rest of the float..
We headed to a happy lunch at McDonald's after the parade
And then home to check out our loot from the parade
More fun at the park later
and a sassy park pose from Mary Frances :)

And an appropriate end to the weekend.  Doc McMimi was checking Hank out to make sure he has recovered from his flu (as she says take a deep breath)
