Summer Fun Is Over!

What a summer!  We kept busy with all our vacations as you have seen from all those pictures.  And then we were at home the rest of the time doing different things.  Here is a look at our summer fun 2013!

Sharing Mimi's ride on bike and squeezing cheeks :)
Best buds....Mimi is going to be looking for some fun from Mommy tomorrow once Hank goes off to school...
How about this...a handyman (woman) in heels...she makes house calls :)
A little ice fun we had....freezing legos and then melting the ice around them till they fall out!
We love the Minions in our happy meal!
First trip to the movie theater to see Despicable Me 2 in 3D!
 Playdoh fun!
 Painting fun!
A little fun in the rain!
Lots of rainy or hot day trips to Monkey Joe's!
 And of course, the Sprayground!
Playing a few games on our phones...
Kona Ice truck and meeting all Hank's new friend at the Kindergarten Ice Cream Social!

Whew!  I don't know about you but this makes me tired to think about all we have done!  It was a great summer and we are so thankful that we got to see almost all of our extended family!

School starts tomorrow for Hank!  We will have pictures to show and good stories to tell!

We got to see the Greats!

Next on the trip was North Tonawanda, NY where we were able to get in some extended family time
Very happy that we were able to spend time with Great Grandma Mary and Great Grandpa Jack!
And the 3 generations of Mary...
Ok, here is the pool and what next Uncle Dave...
Yep!  Canoe in the pool and Hank went in...which left Mimi to question if she was going to get in...
Yep...she got in to and they took a quiet little ride around the pool...if you can call it a ride.  The canoe was almost the length of the pool!
Hang out time back at Great Grandpa Jack's house.  Daddy's good friend Kevin and his son Jack came over to play for a while.  Although Daddy and Kevin were in a food coma from the pizza and subs they ate :)
Hank and Jack hanging out and playing Chutes and Ladders.

We left on Sunday to head back home.  A quick trip but very important that we got to see the Greats!  Last of our summer trips for 2013!

Whirlwind East Coast Trip

We decided to take a quick trip up to the Buffalo area to visit family.  One the way....we stopped at Hershey Park and had an AWESOME time!  Here are a few photos from the trip we wanted to share.

Tired from the drive the night before but getting ready to hit the road and head to Hershey!
LOTS of mountains to look at
And we made it and we are on the rides!
 Fireman/Firewoman coming through!
 Flying high!
The water park at Hershey was awesome!  Hank tried every slide...but the water was freezing!
If you look closely...we are sitting down on the slide in the distance...Mommy took the picture from far away...
This was a ginormous area of the water park with dumping water and slides and all sorts of fun stuff!

Took my picture with the chocolate bar...yum!

We stayed in a hotel in Hershey after the park and then went on to Buffalo the next day...stay tuned for those pics tomorrow!

Lots of Fun in Minnesota!

Minnesota was the next stop on our tour.  Lots of fun here!

It started with a round of Rock band on the Wii with Joey on guitar,  Eva on Vocals and Hank on drums!
A special treat for us was the cotton candy night.  Aunt Sue spun up some sugary goodness for us that we don't normally get at carnivals because of our allergies....and wow did we love it!
Boat day on Lake Osakis!  Awesome pontoon boat and great weather!
Not so good fishing...the fish finder said they were all around us but we could not seem to find them...
 2 Captains on this boat!
Uncle Tony helping Hank fish....still didn't catch anything :(
3 boys checking out the back...
Another new captain...and some co-captains peeking around :)
We had a park day, with more beautiful weather!
Lots of game-playing...Hank with his buddy Joe
The girls doing a little rock climbing
Too many kids!  The adults had no where to sit!

Great fun in Minnesota.  Thanks to Cindy, Joe, Thomas and Eva for keeping Hank and Mimi very busy on this leg of our tour!

Midwest Tour Part 1

This is the first leg of our Midwest Tour.  We left Atlanta, stopped in Nashville and then traveled on to a southern Illinois city.  Slept in a hotel and then made it to Davenport Iowa the next day.
Our Nashville stop was to the Antique Archaeology store where the American Pickers Nashville scenes are shot.  We love that show on the History channel and decided to stop in so we could say we had been there!

Hank did not want to pose in front of the store but Mimi did!

The whole building was incredible.  It was an old car factory and they have really redone it to look awesome and house several stores!

We took a turn on the scale in the factory...It was all quite cool!
Then off to Anna and Nathan's in Davenport Iowa.  We took in a minor league baseball game and they were playing the Kane Count Cougars (Grandma V and Grandpa V's team)
We got bored so we walked around the park and watched the might Mississippi!
And played on a playground that they had at the baseball park!
The next morning we stopped at a grocery store and Mimi and I decided to walk together.
And then the real fun began...a huge water slide in Anna and Nathan's backyard!
It took Mimi a while to warm up to it but then she really enjoyed it!
 And squirted right back...
 And Hank LOVED it!

And then we were off to our next hotel stay in Clear Lake Iowa before heading to Osakis, MN!  And we passed the World's Largest Truckstop!

Thanks to Aunt Mickey, Anna and Nathan for a great first time in Davenport Iowa!  We hope to visit you again!
