Hi!~ We have been having a great time just relaxing around here lately. Weather has been beautiful so we spend lots of time outside which you will see in the photos below. In this shot, I am just enjoying a snack with my good friend bear.
I know what you are thinking...sleeping again?? We had to go to the Allergist on Monday to get my MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) shot. Since it has egg in it the allergist wanted to monitor me after he gave me the shot to make sure nothing bad happened. Anyway, I woke up at 4:30am Monday which did not help matters. The shot went well, no bad reaction to it, but we had to spend 2 hours at the dr office. So I was a little tired afterwards and really needed a good snooze!
My new outdoor slide/playhouse. I am still getting used to all the little cubby holes and things to play or climb on.
Still loving the wagon rides! I also like to push the wagon myself...I will show you that video sometime soon.

This is the water table that Aunt Liz gave me for my birthday. I love water so this table is so much fun! Mom only put a little water in there on this day, but it was fun to splash! Thanks again for the great gift Aunt Liz!

12 Month Dr. Visit

Whew-what a morning already! I did not sleep very well last night-I kept Mom and Dad up from about 11:30-1:30. I'm not sure what the problem was but I did not want to sleep in my crib. I eventually fell asleep but needless to say I was very tired this morning. So on my way to my 12 month dr visit, Grover and I had a good snooze. But the dr visit went well. I had a vision test that I passed, I had 2 shots, that I did not like, and I am doing everything that I am supposed to be doing. I walked with Dr. Harrell for a bit and she said it would be very soon that I would be walking on my own! I was not able to get the MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) shot because it has egg in it-not good for my allergies. So we have to wait to find out what the allergist wants to do about that. Otherwise...I am healthy...and tall...and now facing forward in my seat!

Here are the Stats:
Weight: 21lb 3oz
Height: 30 in
Dr.Harrell said I am using all the food I am eating lately to add inches to my height. Anyway, after all that, I was in a bit of a daze on the way home when Mom snapped the photo below. But we can just relax the rest of the day now so off we go!

Presents and Cake

Hi again! These pics from my birthday are when I was opening my presents and eating my cake...the best part of a birthday party, right? Not sure if you can see my shirt but the lion is holding up one finger and saying 'I'm this many'...so we thought it went well with my jungle themed party!
I had a room full of people watching present time. It looks like Addison was helping me with this gift!

I was not a fan of the party hats.

Here is my cake-it had a '1' candle on it and the jungle animals too!

I decided to dive right in...

And when all was said and done....my face proves that I loved my cake!

There are so many more pics I could show you from my birthday. I think I heard there were about 300 taken....but these were the highlights from the festivities. I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who traveled down here for my party -you made it so special. And to the family and friends that could not make it but sent me birthday wishes a big THANK YOU to you as well. I had a super fun 1st birthday and I look forward to many many more!
Love, Hank

Birthday Fun

Hello everyone! This was the morning of my birthday and we are getting in some play time before all the real craziness begins!
Some of the decorations around our house. We had monkeys hanging from vines...

...and other animals like lions, tigers and elephants to name a few, scattered throughout the house. Just as if you were walking through the jungle!

This was the biggest lion of them all! A giant inflatable jumper in our backyard!
Just one of the many shots taken throughout the day as everyone (kids and adults)enjoyed jumping around in our friendly lion.
Me, Daddy and my cousin Danny taking a break from all the jumping!

And of course, I had to include my friend Addison and her t-shirt. It says 'boys are yucky' and if you look closely enough, it is a picture of me. Yes, me, when I had a big black curly wig on....I have a feeling Addison probably did not make that t-shirt herself...

MORE TO COME!!

Before Gifts

I wanted to show you some more of the cool gifts I received before my birthday...
These are my bristle blocks I received from my Great Uncle Joe and Great Aunt Joanne. I am not sure who was more excited with this gift-me or my Dad-he loves them and keeps talking about how he had them when he was younger!
Grandma Judy and Grandpa Wayne got me this awesome tricycle. It converts as I grow so eventually I can pedal it myself. Grover and I love the rides in it!

And this...is the ultimate...it is a Kawasaki 4 wheel motorcycle from Don and Erin!! (I had to help Daddy put it together). I can't get enough of this thing-and neither could my cousins. Everybody wanted to ride it at my party! Watch me ride it in the movie below.....

I LOVE IT!

NEW WAGON!!

To my surprise, I woke up Wednesday morning to a brand new wagon for my birthday!
So I had to grab one of my favorite toys (of course it's a ball!) and take it for a ride with me.

Unfortunately, the first few days I had the wagon were rainy here so I had to enjoy the rides inside. My buddy Grover decided to join me for this one.

Yipee! It was a beautiful 72 degree day here today so we finally got to take my wagon outside. And when Daddy asked if I wanted to take Grover with, of course I said yes!

We took a nice cruise through the neighborhood....

And we ended up in our backyard at the end of the trip.
I love my new wagon! A big Thank You to Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ed!!

Too Quiet Day 2....

Someday, Mommy will learn that she can't leave me alone for very long. I need to find things to do to keep me busy....

Mommy went to get the clean laundry. So I decided to clear out a drawer for the clean clothes...
Then I felt bad that there was such a mess on the floor so I decided I would start putting them back in the drawer for her.

I finished with the laundry and Mommy left the room for a minute again and......well, I decided that the bookshelf needed to be reorganized!

Too Quiet...

Mommy was wondering why she could not hear me playing...I was being so quiet...
I thought I would help decorate the newly finished bathroom....
I needed a lot of supplies for the masterpiece I was creating!
