Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We sure did! My cousins from New Jersey came for a vist and we had a great time! I decided I would relax a little in my bear chair before they arrive...
This was Thanksiving Eve pasta dinner. We had a little kids table so we could all eat together.

You would think this would be me and Daddy napping after the big feast-but we took a snooze before we had dinner. I guess we needed the rest to prepare ourselves for the turkey...
This is an upper level view of the kids table on Thanksgiving day. As you can tell, we were all so into the meal that we could not take the time to look up and smile for the camera!

Me sharing my bear chair with my buddy Brendan.

All the cousins-Danny, me, Brendan and Alexandra enjoying some time watching Elmo. We had such a fun visit and I am so glad they came. I will not get to see them at Christmas because Mommy is not allowed to travel from the end of December until my baby sister or brother arrives in March. So thank you to my cousins and Uncle Dan and Aunt Alana for driving from NJ to see us!

Hi there! Monday was Mommy's birthday so I helped Daddy make a cake for her. I was the official taste-tester...
I have become a master tower builder. I love stacking cans and boxes to see how high I can get them. This is one of my better towers!

A new move I learned and Mommy caught on camera...
We have had beautiful weather here lately-in the mid 70's! One of my new favorite things to do is hang out in the trees (with Daddy's help of course).
Me and Daddy just hanging out and talking on one of those warm nights...

Daddy makes me laugh and laugh as you can see in this video....

Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ed Visit

Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ed came for a visit at the end of October. Unfortunately, that is when I had the fever, but I think we all still had a good time!
We visited the scarecrow festival at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. This is me and Daddy coming down the steps after looking at one of the scarecrows.
Then we headed to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins for our house...there were so many to choose from!

Grandpa Ed was helping me choose...
and Mommy was helping me choose too...
Then we took time out for a family photo!
Later, back at the house, Grandma, Grandpa and I reviewed all the pictures we had taken-I like looking at pics on the camera...especially of me!
We also visited the Georgia Aquarium...where I met Deepo. I loved him-I couldn't get enough of him! We ran ito him several times and each time I had to go up to him and say hi or give him a hug!
Soooooo many fish to look at!
And I can't forget to mention my first lunch at The Varsity. Grandma and Grandpa have seen it mentioned on tv and it is famous in Atlanta so I had to go for my first visit. The hot dog was delicious!
Thanks to Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ed for visiting! Sorry I was a little under the weather and maybe even a little cranky...but I am still so gald you came to see me, Mommy and Daddy-I had a great time!

I was a little under the weather a week ago. This is me and Mommy relaxing and watching my Elmo DVD. I had a fever of 103.5 and was just not feeling good-it looks like it ended up being a touch of the flu.. I am much better now and I know I promised you an update since I had my 18 month check-up with Dr. Harrell so here it is:
I weigh in at 23 lb 15 oz
and I am 32 1/4 in tall.
So I put on a few ounces and about an inch since my 15 month visit. Dr. Harrell said I looked good and I was talking up a storm so she said I sounded good too.
I have some pictures to show you from our visit with Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ed when they were here. And I also will update you on my baby sister/brother. We got some new pictures of her/him too. So stay tuned.....

I hope you all had a happy and safe Halloween! I had a blast! This was the first time I went Trick or Treating-and I had so much fun!
I got all suited up in my Cookie Monster outfit, grabbed my pumpkin and was ready to go ( I had my game face on)!
Mommy and me next to Daddy's scary jack-o-lantern

Just thought I would share a pic of me and my friend Addison dressed in our costumes. This was taken a couple of weeks ago. She was Tinkerbell.

Daddy and I headed down the driveway on our way to candy heaven!
The long walk back to the house after collecting my candy. We hung out at the house waiting by the door to see all the other kids in their costumes. I have never seen so many people come to our door-we almost ran out of candy (and Mommy bought A LOT of candy). So that tells you how many kids came by. I loved my first Halloween experience!

Here is the long-awaited debut of my Halloween video...hope you like it!

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Well, these are the last of the vacation pictures. Wednesday was my first time on a boat and then Thursday-Saturday we spent at the Hilton in Longboat where Mommy and Daddy got married. We spent most of our time in the pool or at the beach, which you will see from these pics. Oh, and we were on vacation with Aunt Liz and Ben and Don and Erin-but I did not include the pics with them. They are all in thier swimsuits and I thought they may not like me sharing those kinds of pics on the web!
Me and Daddy-the "captains" of the boat.
I got my vest on and waved to let everyone know I was ready to go!

At the beach in Longboat-me and Daddy waiting or the waves.
Me and Mommy working on the sandcastle-although it looks like I am just supervising at this point!
I decided to just dig a hole and get into the sand...
Me and Mommy walking across the bridge that she she walked across to meet Daddy on their wedding day!

Thanks for looking at my vacation pics. I hope you enjoyed them! I will update soon with my new stats from the pediatrician. I had my 18 month appt on Monday and everything was good!

Tuesday of vacation was zoo day. We went to the Tampa Zoo which as voted one of the best by Parents magazine...and boy was that true. We had a great time!
We saw giraffes and zebras...I guess we interrupted this guy's lunch time!

We saw manatees, penguins, rays and lots of other water animals

And we saw elephants. We saw so many different animals but I decided to condense it down to the best for all of you to see!

Another one of my "firsts" on this trip was a carousel ride. I know you can't really tell by my face but I LOVED IT. I wanted to go "again, again, again" it was so much fun!

Monday was our first full day in FL. Mom and Dad wanted to take me to the beach, to make sure I liked it and otherwise, we just spent our time doing some leisurely activities...
Daddy and Ben went fishing. This patch of grass is right behind Aunt Liz's patio. So you can walk from the patio to the grass and into the Gulf if you want to! Notice the bird in the background-he was watching every fish they pulled out of the water!

I had no fear of the fish and loved touching them. After they catch them they have to throw them back-but it was fun to watch! (by the way, you can hear me talking in the first part of the video. I am saying one of my favorite words, "again"...and I repeat it several times).

This video is of my very FIRST time in the water. As you can see by my reaction...I love it!

Monday, October 12, 2009

We arrived in FL on Sunday around noon. We made a quick stop at Aunt Liz's for some lunch, then headed over to my first baseball game!
I think Daddy has been waiting to take me to a Yankees game as my first game. The Yanks happened to be playing the Tampa Bay Rays so we got to see them in action at Tropicana Field.
Of course we got to see some real live rays-swimming around in their tank at the baseball field. Daddy and Aunt Liz were the only brave ones to reach in and "pet" them!
Me in my seat...I had a lot of room to move around!
Me and Daddy checking out the action-we had a mix of fans around us that were making A LOT of noise.
Me and Mommy having a disagreement over one of the plays...just kidding! Anyway, the game was a blast and it was complete with a grand slam by A-Rod! What a great first day of vacation!

Sunday, October 11, 2009

We are back from FL and boy did we have a good time! It was hot (they actually said they had record-setting temps for that time of year) and sunny every day! I will be updating the blog throughout the week to show you as many pics as I can. Here is a video of me and Daddy jumpin' the waves in the Gulf. I had no fear of the water and loved every minute of it!

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Hi there! Sorry it has been a while since my last post. We had a lot of rainy days here that kept us cooped up inside for several days. But now, we are sunny and into the Fall temps (I had to wear a jacket and pants today!) so we are able to get out and do more!
Mommy and I continue to go to story time at the Library every Wednesday. We will be starting a new playgoup in the next couple of weeks so I am excited about that-new friends!
So, my soy results... were not so definitive. It looks like I am probably over the soy allergy but we will not know for sure until my next appt 6 months from now (which is right before my baby sister or brother gets here!). Mommy and Daddy decided with the doctor to start feeding me foods that have soy listed as an allergen on the package and so far-I have not had a single problem! So it looks really good but I will keep you posted!
Mommy and baby are still doing fine. I like to talk to Mommy's belly and pat it. Mommy always asks me if I think girl or boy.... and I say girl...but she keeps asking me! I guess we'll see!
The most exciting news is that we leave for Florida on Sunday....for a whole week! I am sure I will have a lot of pictures to share with you during and after the trip...so stay tuned!

Saturday, September 19, 2009

Hi there! Ok, so first-if any of you have been waiting to hear my soy results...I don't have them. Mommy called the doctor Friday and he was out of the office for the day! So we have to wait till Monday. But I promise I will let you know as soon as I do. Anyway, take a look at my Elmo slippers! Elmo is becoming one of my very best friends. I walk around the house all day saying Elmo, Kie (which is Cookie Monster) and Ver (which is Grover). I love all my Sesame Street Friends!

I thought I would start to share some of my talking with all of you. In this one (just in case you can't hear him) Daddy asks "what does a doggie say?" and "what does a duck say?" and I answer him. I know a lot more animals but that was all I was willing to say for the camera at that time.
As I mentioned I love Kie (Cookie Monster). I like to talk like him too. In this video, Daddy asks me "what does Cookie Monster say?" I answer him in the voice that I think best sounds like Cookie.
And just in case any of you were wondering....I am going to be Cookie Monster for Halloween!

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Hi! Sorry there has not been too much to report lately. We have been having a lot of rain so Mom has had to come up with indoor projects. This is my first time playing with Play-Doh. I got a beach set-to get me ready for our vacation in a couple of weeks. We are headed to FL to visit Aunt Liz a couple of days and then to Longboat Key (where Mommy and Daddy got married) for a couple of days. This will be my first time on a sandy beach so I am looking forward to it!
Mommy and my sister or brother are doing good-both are growing and I like talking to the "baby in the belly."
I will update you Friday when I find out the results of my soy blood work. We should find out if I am possibly over the allergy...which would be great!

Sharing

Mommy and Daddy say it's time I learned about sharing.

So the first thing I'm going to share is my blog...with my new brother or sister! Here he or she is!

He or she is 12 weeks and doing great. Mommy sometimes feels sick, but that is starting to go away. I'll have more pictures of my sibling soon.

My Game Day Experience!

Here it is...my blog about my first College Game Day Experience. Daddy and I got all dressed in our Notre Dame gear and headed to the GA Dome!
Here's the Game Day bus...

and I was this close to Chris Fowler!

I took a lot of pics with people. The Chick-Fil-A cow was very friendly-I even got coupons!
This is new for me...I love being on Daddy's shoulders-I can see above everybody else!

I got a picture with Jeff...and I am not sure why the girl in the background is so interested in us...

And I got a picture with Mike....I am still a little timid around him, but I am really getting used to him. I even cried when he left our house after we got back!
All in all it was a great experience! I was so tired that I fell right asleep in the car! I loved my first Game Day experience!
Please check back here at the end of the day tomorrow...I have someone I want you to meet...

**ALLERGY UPDATE**

Well, today was my 6 month visit to the allergist and I have good news and bad news. I still have to geet bloodwork done to confirm the results but here it is....They do the prick test in the office to see how my skin reacts to the foods I am allergic to. Then, they measure the size of the hive on my skin and compare it to the visit I had 6 months earlier. So here is how the numbers look:
Egg...still the same-no change
Peanuts....went from a 3 to an 11....which is really bad
Soy....went from a 7 to a 0! Which is really good!
So peanuts did get worse but Dr. Rezvani said that can still change and we have plenty of time for that. But the soy looks infinitely better! Once the bloodwork confirms it, we are going to do a soy challenge in the dr.'s office. Which means they will feed me a soy food over the course of a couple of hours and watch my reactions to it-if all goes well-I could be over my allergy to soy!
I will keep you posted!
