This was the first time I got to help give Ripken a bath. He takes a bath in my tub and then Daddy really scrubs it clean for me!

My dance moves have improved. Now I can dance sitting or standing...check out this video!

Hello again! Just wanted to fill you in on a couple of things in my life! I had my 15 month check up on Friday. Everything is good. I will show you the comparison with my 12 month check-up:

12 Month

Weight: 21lb 3oz

Height:30 in

15 Month

Weight: 23 lb

Height: 30.5 in

I had 3 shots in my leg...ouch! But I recovered easily from them. I go back at 18 months but not for any shots...which is a good thing!

I have been helping out around the house lately. Daddy let me sweep the garage today!

And Mommy let me Swiffer the hardwood floors-I love cleaning! (I am told this means I am really taking after my Daddy...)
And besides swimming at the Fitness Club, Mommy and I also joined a playgroup called the Tornado Toddlers. We had our first class on Saturday. We sing, dance, run, kick balls, ride scooters, bowl...we do all sorts of stuff! Whew-it's tiring, but so so much fun!


Oh and I almost forgot, I moved into my toddler bed. It took me a couple of nights to get used to it but now I just climb in, grab Grover and Bear and close my eyes. Can you believe I have my own bed-no more crib!

Busy, Busy! Swim lessons started last Monday-so here I am loaded in the car to head to the pool. We are blowing bubbles, kicking on our backs and fronts, going under water (I am still getting used to that) and learing how to get out of the pool. We go every Monday and Wednesday-and I love it!
Mommy and I went to see a fire truck and real fire fighters at the library last week. There were A LOT of people there so Mommy had to snap this picture quickly! I am really into fire trucks lately so this was fun to see a real big one!

I take 30 minutes every day to watch my Baby Genius Favorite Sing A Long Songs video.

Daddy keeps talking about getting me a comfy chair to sit in so I don't have to recline on the pillows on the floor!

And I continue to attempt to feed myself...it is a pretty messy process which is probably why Mommy lets me do it while Daddy is a work. He would not like the mess!

And now back to our vacation....We spent a lot of time in the car! After Niagara Falls we headed to NJ to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We covered about 2100 miles-so Mommy and I had some good laughs in the back seat.
Me and my buddy Mo (the monkey I got at the zoo from Grandma and Grandpa) sacking out for a while...all that driving was exhausting!

My first trip to a zoo! We saw turtles and birds and monkeys just to name a few of the animals-it was all so cool!

We also spent time at Grandma and Grandpa's pool. The water was cold so I did not spend a lot of time in it but I sure liked the rocks in their flower garden!

I still have more pics to show you from our vacation but Mommy insisted I show you this video. It is short but apparently funny.... I have like to dance, at least with my head. I dance to the music of the car racers that my cousins (Cindy, Joey, Thomas and Eva) sent me. Maybe you won't find it as funny as Mommy or maybe you will. She laughs over and over when she watches it (as does Daddy as you can see in the video).

Niagara Falls

We are back from our vacation-or as Daddy calls it our "East Coast Tour 2009." We had a great time and I have a lot to show you!
We visited Niagara Falls! I got to put my feet in the water and I loved it. In fact, I would have kept walking out into the water but Mommy had to hold me back!

Just a quick note before I tell you about the photos below....We are leaving on vacation on Saturday and we will be gone for 10 days! We are driving to NY and NJ to visit my Daddy's side of the family. So I get to see my Great Grandma Mary and Great Grandpa Jack and all my other East Coast relatives. So you will not see any posts for a while. But I am sure I will have a lot to tell you when I get back!

It has been soooo hot here lately! This is a pool that Grandma Mary sent last year and I think I am too big for it this year. But it works on the days that Mommy and I don't walk down to our community pool or go to the Club pool. It cools me off!
Nope, this is not chocolate. I decided that I should try some mud...see how it tastes, but man, it was not good!

I am sure most of you have heard of the painting at the left, 'American Gothic'...well, the photo above is me and Addison and our modern day interpretation of the painting...What do you think?

Better Walking

Here you go! I finally have a better video of me walking! Keep in mind, I was in the grass...which has a lot of bumps, so I was doing the best that I could! I am doing so much better now. I am almost at the point that I prefer walking to crawling.................Watch out-here I come! (And if you are wondering what I am pointing at and talking about-there are a bunch of birds overhead that keep making a lot of noise and flying around all crazy!)

Hi Everyone! Not too much going on around here lately...except that I am working really hard on my walking skills. You will see a short video of me walking to Mommy at the bottom of this post. It is very short but at least it shows how good I am getting-before you know it, I will be running!
We had some time before dinner tonight so I decided to busy myself with the pots and pans. Except this time, I thought I would have more fun getting in the cupboard!

Hi Everyone-It has been warm here lately so we have spent a lot of time outside playing with my water table. Dad took me to the outdoor pool at the club on Sunday and I had a blast! Mommy and I start swim lessons at the club in July. We wanted to make sure my eczema was under control before hitting the pool and it finally is... so I am excited! We also joined a playgroup at the club which will start in July. Everything starts after we get back from our big trip to Buffalo and NJ at the end of June.

Mommy is still trying to catch me walking to show you guys-the camera did not snap fast enough this time-but you do get to see my fabulous sleeveless shirt (thanks to Chris, Kat, Fiona and Mac!)!
Still can't get enough of my 4-wheeler. Don't I look like a tough guy in my sleeveless??

I love to watch videos (especially the one my buddy Jack sent with all my favorite nursery rhymes!)-Mom usually allows 1 a day-so here I am chillin' with Grover and Bear watching

B-I-N-G-O

I could not decide what I wanted to eat, so Mom opened the refrigerator and I grabbed a sugar free pudding...and Mom let me have at it! Yummy!

Lake Osakis

We spent Friday through Monday in Lake Osakis with Mommy's family. We decided to stay in a cabin right on the lake instead of a hotel-ours is the 2nd from the left.
Daddy took me for a walk on the docks every morning.

I am told, and I guess this picture shows, that the sunsets were beautiful. Of course, I was snoozing away by then-so tired from all the activities!

I got a lot of wagon rides from my cousins but Aunt Liz and I decided to take a break and just chill for a little while...

We had such a good time, and it was fun to be around all my older cousins. I guess it inspired me because.....I CAN WALK! Mommy noticed I was standing up on my own a lot more since we got back and suddenly I just started taking steps. I am not a full-fledged walker yet but I am certainly getting there. Of course, Mommy can never catch me on video-we are working on that so I can show all you! So thanks to my cousins for a fun trip and inspiring me to walk!

Back from Vacation

The first part of our Minnesota trip took us to Tonka Bay, which is just outside of Minneapolis. Our friends-Chris, Kat, Fiona and Maclaren live there. Daddy grew up with Chris so they have known each other a loooong time!

A Little Vacation

Hi Everyone-

Just a quick note to let you know that we will be gone for a few days so I will not be updating the blog. I am taking my first trip to the great state of Minnesota! First to visit some friends, and then off to Lake Osakis to visit my Unlce Tony, Aunt Sue, and my cousins Cindy, Joey, Thomas and Eva. I have not seen all of them since Christmas so I am excited to show them everything I can do and say!

Enjoy the video-I now know how to drive my motorcycle all by myself and I love the rides! (Thanks again Don and Erin!)

Outside Fun

I love playing outside! We had a nice day on Mother's Day-great weather so we were outside a lot. Here are a few pics and a movie. I also wanted to show you how much better I am at standing on my own and walking with only a little help. I have taken steps all by myself but I am still working on my building up my confidence to fully being walking rather than crawling.

Hi Everyone- I was just hanging out the other day enjoying the weather when Mom decided to start snapping photos...
Mom calls this my model pose...I think I ned to work on my facial expressions before I get any agency calls!
